At last Henties Bay had to give way to progress and move with the times!

Yes, the town got its very first tar street with neatly interlocked pavements.  It certainly gives the town a fresh new look and spurred on the renovation and upgrading of a number of other businesses and public buildings.  Nampost and Telecom repainted their buildings and a number of businesses upgraded to offer residents and visitors a pleasant shopping atmosphere.

FIRST NATIONAL BANK

FNB re-opened their doors in a brand new building after an absence of several years.

RESIDENTIAL EXTENSION 10
Public Auction: 18 December 2008

A new residential area, Extension 10, was proclaimed in 2007.  Erven in this area was sold on public auction in December 2007 and August 2008.  The next public auction will be on 18 December in the Community Hall in Henties Bay where 87 erven will be auctioned. 

Roads and other services are still under construction in the area and should be completed early 2009.

SPAR/TOPS 

Henties Bay Spar opened a brand new Tops liquor store and also expanded their supermarket.

PHARMACY

The Henties Bay pharmacy had a complete make-over and was fitted in the latest fashion to give it a fresh, modern look. It promises to offer you so much more buying pleasure.
