CRATER -
HENTIES BAY
This
combination trip can be done over three days with the
first overnight stop at the Ugab (Rhino) Camp with basic
camping facilities.
Turn eastwards onto the Messum Crater route where it
joins the D2303 with the Ancient Damara settlement as a
2nd overnight stop. Here are no camping
facilities.

This
combination trip can be done over two days with an
overnight stop at the Ugab (Rhino) Camp with basic
camping facilities.
Turn westwards onto the Ugab Menhir route where it intersects with the
D2303. No camping is allowed in the West Coast
Recreation Area.

Combine
these two routes as a two day trip from Henties Bay and
overnight at the Ancient Damara Settlement in the Messum
Crater.

This combination
route can be done as an alternative route to the
northern parts.
Overnight stops can be made at the
Ancient
Damara Settlement in the Messum Crater, the Ugab Rhino
Camp and the Gai-as Settlement.
PLEASE DO NOT CAMP WITHIN TWO KM FROM THE GAI-AS SPRING!

Enter the Ugab Menhir
Route from the C34 at the northernmost point (waypoint
9) and proceed with the route towards the D2303 and
further towards the Ugab Rhino Camp, Doros Crater and
Twyfelfontein.
Overnight stops can be made at the
Ugab Rhino
Camp and the Gai-as Settlement.
PLEASE DO NOT CAMP WITHIN TWO KM FROM THE GAI-AS SPRING!
